How we handle your data.

Last updated: 10 June 2026

Who is responsible

Forest Compass (forestcompass.eu) is run by Jure (s.p.), based in Slovenia. For anything related to your personal data, write to xjurex994@gmail.com.

What we collect, and why

Inquiry form: your name, email, what you're interested in, preferred location and timing, and your message. We use this only to reply to your inquiry and arrange a session.

Guide application form: the details you provide about yourself and your practice. We use this only to review your application and set up your guide profile, with your consent.

Language preference: stored in your own browser (localStorage) so the site remembers your choice. It never leaves your device.

We use no analytics, no advertising trackers, and no marketing cookies. We do not send newsletters.

Where it goes

Form submissions are delivered to us through Google (Apps Script, Google Sheets, Gmail) and the site is hosted on Vercel. Both act as our processors. Some processing may take place outside the EU under the EU's standard contractual clauses.

We never sell your data or share it with anyone else.

How long we keep it

Inquiries: until resolved, then up to one year in case you return, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Guide applications: for as long as your profile is active or your application is open. You can withdraw at any time.

Your rights

You can ask at any time to see, correct, receive, or delete your data, or to withdraw consent — just email xjurex994@gmail.com. We'll respond within 30 days.

If you believe we've handled your data improperly, you can complain to the Slovenian Information Commissioner (Informacijski pooblaščenec, ip-rs.si).

A note on honesty

This site is young and we keep things simple on purpose: minimal data, no tracking, plain language. If anything here changes, this page changes first.
